Prompt

Minecraft Java and Minecraft PE have different features from each other and I will be listing four of the most interesting to me.

Minecraft Java Features

Java has lots of amazing features. First, you can crawl. Crawling is very useful when it comes to mining and builds. The way to trigger the crawling animation is to place a trapdoor and flip it upwards and get next to it. Once you are close then flip the trapdoor down, and you will trigger the crawl animation. One perk of using crawl is it allows you to move in a 1×1 space, meaning you can mine more efficiently and use less durability with you pickaxe. For building, you can build hidden entrances to your base or make a small crevice and hide your valuables there. Another cool feature is you can put banners on shields. Ever wanted to display your cool banner design and take it with you to show it off? If so you can put your banner on your shield and show how awesome your design is! Though Java has many awe inspiring features, Bedrock has some really interesting things as well!

Minecraft Pocket Edition Features

Pocket Edition or Minecraft PE has some really interesting features that Java doesn’t. Let’s say your dyeing your bed but you wanna change the color. If your on Java, you can’t change the color of your bed and will need to waste more materials. But in PE, no sweat! Just grab your dye and place the colored bed in the crafting table and boom, you changed the bed color. I chose this feature because I know I like to change the color of my bed all the time, and this feature is very useful for this situation. Another feature for bedrock is imagine your fending off your base from monsters and your out of arrows! No problem. Pocket edition allows you do deal damage with snow balls and fire. What happens is the snowballs catch on fire and light up the monsters when they hit em! I wanted to include this because it’s a very useful skill to have if you have no arrows, but you have snowballs and fire. For my last Feature I wanna include bonemealing cane sugar. You want paper, but you have bonemeal and a sugar cane. Well in PE you can bonemeal sugar cane to make it grow. On Java you can’t bonemeal sugar cane. I wanna add this as my last fact because if you wanted to get books, you need paper, and to get paper, you need sugar cane, and to get that you need to wait for a long time. But in PE you can bonemeal and you wouldn’t need to wait!

Comparing The Two Versions

Both of these game are really great and are very fun to play. With Java it’s hard to look around using the mouse, using up game time. When playing PE, it is easier to turn and look around. When it comes to red stone, Java wins because it has something really awe inspiring. When you place a Redstone block above a piston, it will make the piston turn on! In PE we can’t do that sadly. In making a jukebox play music, PE is the winner. This is because you can place a disc in a hopper, and it will deposit the disc into the box. In Java however, you can’t do this at all. One last difference is in is the shulker. This mob can be dyed any color in PE, but in Java, that’s not possible.

The Winner?

For me the winner would be both of the versions! Java and Pocket Edition are both really great versions to play in, that is why I can’t decide my favorite! I have played pocket edition for the longest time, but when I was introduced to Java, I have the best time ever! Therefore, I can’t choose.
